Have you always put God first in your life? (you shall have no other gods before me) Have you ever lied? (you shall not lie) Have you ever stole? (You shall not steal) Have you ever used God’s name as a curse word? (You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain) Have you ever been jealous of or lusted after your neighbors possessions? (You shall not covet) The bible says we all have sinned: For all have sinned and fall short the glory of God. Romans 3:23 The bible also says that our sin cuts us off from God: For the wages of sin is death Romans 6:23 The punishment for our sin is spiritual death eternal separation from God. We all will die a physical death, and then be judged by God. “...Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.” Hebrews 9: 27 When we die, we will be judged by God, according to whether or not we have kept his commands. We will either be innocent or guilty. For the guilty it will be eternal separation from God [hell]. For the innocent it will be eternal life with God [heaven]. When you die and stand before God, will you be found innocent or guilty? Have you kept all God’s commandments? If you have found yourself guilty of breaking Gods law, and it concerns you, I have some good news for you. Though we are all sinners, guilty of breaking God’s law. God in his love for us, offers us forgiveness through his son Jesus Christ. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. 1 Peter 3:18 Jesus said “repent and believe the good news” Mark 1:15 Repent means to turn away from. The good news is: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 If we turn away from our sins, believe that Jesus Christ died, so that we can be forgiven and follow him as our Lord and savior, then we will have eternal life. If you have never made a commitment to follow Jesus and to make him first in your life, Then that is the first thing you need to do. I cannot stress enough how important that decision is. It is the most important thing you will ever do in your entire life. If you have not made a decision to follow Christ and it is something that you want to do, you can start by clicking the salvation button. If you want to learn a little more about what it means to have given your life to Jesus Christ, then click the what’s next button. If you want to learn a little about me and how I came to put God first in my life, then click on the testimony button.
